children'S ministires

PURPOSE

Wayside Kids (infant to 5th grade) exists to come alongside parents to provide a biblically-based, Christ-centered environment to faithfully plant and water the promises of the gospel in the hearts of children, trusting the Lord to provide the growth and saving faith in their lives.

CHURCH & FAMILY

We believe that God has given parents the unique privilege and responsibility of bringing up their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Therefore, the church strives to coming alongside parents as they raise their children, by equipping them with resources, seminars, prayer, and support. To this end, we also encourage families to worship together both in the home and in Lord's Day corporate worship. For a good overview of children together in worship, click HERE to read John and Noel Piper's rationale.

Infant Nursery birth to 3

Infant nursery is provided upstairs in the wing to the rear of the sanctuary during both morning worship services, as well as during the evening worship service.

Children's Bible Studies

We have church-wide Bible studies on the first Wednesday of every month @ 6:30pm, including two Bible studies for children—younger elementary (age 4–2nd grade) and older elementary (3rd–5th grade). For more information, please contact our Children's Ministry Coordinator, Brittany Patterson.

CHILD PROTECTION POLICY

Click to download: Wayside_Child_Protection_Policy.pdf These guidelines are designed to assist church workers in our Christian duty to do all things decently and in order (1 Corinthians 14:40) and to do all things to God’s glory (1 Corinthians 10:31). While the main function of these policies is to set forth procedures that the Session has adopted to facilitate the functioning of the church in a manner pleasing to the Lord, the same guidelines can be useful to all of our church family in helping to develop and maintain purity in the Christian’s life at home, at work, and at church.
