Our MISSION is to go unto all nations to make disciples by faithfully planting and watering the gospel of Jesus Christ through the ministry of the Word of God, prayer, sacraments, worship, service, and gospel community. Our outreach extends beyond Signal Mountain. We send real people to every corner of the globe to share God's truth and Good News, and to build God's church. Ask how you can become involved in supporting this work!

Wayside supports approximately 15–20 various missionaries and missions agencies.

Ways to get involved

  • Missions Committee -- If you're interested in being a part of this committee, please contact our missions chairman, Allen Hawkins.
  • Annual Missions Conference each spring
  • Faith-promise giving – Giving that is above and beyond the normal tithe/offering.
  • Missions trips -- our summer missions trip for 2026 will be July 13-18, and we'll go to Cherokee, NC to minister alongside Pastor Scott Hill who is planting a church there. We will visit the Tsali Nursing Home (the name has an interesting story), conduct afternoon VBS, and work on small projects around the local homes. For more information contact Pastor Allen.
